Exercising your Consumer Privacy Rights

Statara takes its commitment to data privacy seriously. We comply with all state privacy laws and provide consumers with secure and easy ways to manage their personal data. Consumers wishing to manage their personal data may choose from the options below.

Data – Opt out or limit the use of your data

Consumers have choices on how Statara may process their personal information and how a consumer can limit Statara’s ability to use consumer personal information. The choices consumers may make regarding their data include:

  • Opting out of the sale and sharing of an individual consumer’s personal information
  • Opting out of cross-context behavioral advertising and targeted advertising for an individual consumer.
  • Opting out of automated decision-making profiling for individual consumers.
  • Limiting the use of a consumer’s sensitive personal information.

Individuals or groups generally use data that Statara provides to third parties to communicate with the public about political activities, but in some cases, consumer data is used to offer products or services. By opting out of our system, your data will not be provided to third parties for any political or consumer advertising activities. While we support your rights as a consumer to control your personal data, you may reduce political and consumer information provided for your benefit by opting out. Please note that each type of request may require differing amounts of personal or additional information to process.

Data – Delete your data

Consumers may request that Statara delete their personal information. However, the file may contain information that this process cannot delete. Statara will notify consumers of an issue with their deletion request if necessary. To delete any consumer’s personal information, Statara must receive confirmation of the consumer’s identity. Statara may need additional information from the consumer to verify a consumer’s identity. Statara cannot complete the deletion request unless the consumer’s identity is confirmed.

Data – Copy and correction of errors/or issues with your data.

Consumers have the right to request that Statara provide a report about any data collected on an individual consumer and to correct any inaccurate data maintained by Statara. To receive a copy or change any consumer’s personal information, Statara must receive confirmation of the consumer’s identity. Statara may need additional information from the consumer to verify a consumer’s identity. Statara cannot complete the request to copy or change a consumer’s personal information unless the consumer’s identity is confirmed.

Data – Opt in the use of your data

Consumers have the right to request that Statara add their information to our database.

Contacting Statara

Statara offers two (2) methods for consumers to submit requests regarding their personal data:

On-Line Form Request

  • Customers may make the following choices to exercise their rights with Statara:
  • Consumers who want to opt out, opt in, or limit the use of their data should fill out this form.
  • Customers who want to know or access, delete, or correct their data should fill out this form.
  • Consumers will be asked to provide their full name, the address of their current residence, and their current e-mail address. STATARA MAY BE DELAYED ON INCAPABLE OF PROCESSING YOUR REQUEST WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION.
  • The information you provide will only be used to process your request.

Phone Request

  • Consumers may call the Statara Consumer Privacy phone line at 1-888-678-6880.
  • Consumers will be asked to provide their full name, the address of their current residence, and their current e-mail address. STATARA MAY BE DELAYED ON INCAPABLE OF PROCESSING YOUR REQUEST WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION.
  • The information you provide will only be used to process your request.

THE TWO CONTACT METHODS LISTED ABOVE ARE THE ONLY WAY STATARA PROVIDES FOR CONSUMERS TO EXERCISE THEIR PRIVACY RIGHTS. EMAIL REQUESTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED FOR  EXERCISING CONSUMER PRIVACY RIGHTS.

Request on Behalf of Minors

Statara has special processes where authorized parties are making requests for sensitive personal information or related to the exercising of privacy rights when made on behalf of a minor, on behalf of an incapacitated adult, or if an authorized agent is making a request based upon permission from an individual. IF YOU ARE MAKING A REQUEST FROM ONE OF THESE THREE GROUPS, YOU CAN NOT USE THE ONLINE FORM OR THE PHONE NUMBER TO MAKE YOUR REQUEST.

Request for Incapacitated Adults

Statara has special processes where authorized parties are making requests for sensitive personal information or related to the exercising of privacy rights when made on behalf of a minor, on behalf of an incapacitated adult, or if an authorized agent is making a request based upon permission from an individual. IF YOU ARE MAKING A REQUEST FROM ONE OF THESE THREE GROUPS, YOU CAN NOT USE THE ONLINE FORM OR THE PHONE NUMBER TO MAKE YOUR REQUEST.

Request by Authorized Agents

Statara has special processes where authorized parties are making requests for sensitive personal information or related to the exercising of privacy rights when made on behalf of a minor, on behalf of an incapacitated adult, or if an authorized agent is making a request based upon permission from an individual. IF YOU ARE MAKING A REQUEST FROM ONE OF THESE THREE GROUPS, YOU CAN NOT USE THE ONLINE FORM OR THE PHONE NUMBER TO MAKE YOUR REQUEST.

Additional privacy rights

Several states have implemented new laws regarding consumer privacy rights. Consumers should reference the consumer privacy laws within their state of residence to receive additional information. The data maintained by Statara, depending on various factors, may not be subject to some or all specific U.S. state privacy laws.

While the consumer privacy rights mentioned above must be activated upon a consumer’s request, consumers have other rights that do not require action. These rights include:

  • Non-Discrimination – Statara will not discriminate against consumers for requesting or exercising their personal data privacy rights.
  • Transparency – Consumers have the right to be informed about the types of personal data a business collects.
